Biography:
Thanks to my Dad and Mom for encouraging me in the fields of art, writing and music. Today, amazingly, I make a living doing all three! As a kid, I was invited to design the outside of every greeting card envelope that left the house. Today, I still sneak a few cartoons onto the bills.
My career began as the Publicity Coordinator for the University of Redlands. During that time, I supplied editorial cartoons to "The Bulldog", a student body newspaper. Although the school assumed we were capable of taking written notes, I preferred to translate class lectures into intricate and comical pencil drawings.
Many of the companies I worked for, following graduating, discovered that I could draw and placed me on "special assignments" to complete the projects. Although art can be a gift, these assignments often created resentment.
Today, I carefully select the fun cartoon jobs to work on. It is okay to say NO. Hey! I just said it. Life is too short to be serious. And this page is too short to write down any more thoughts.
